Doing your Banking Online

I have seen lots of articles about Online Banking. Some seem to be very good, while others may give you just enough information to get you in trouble. Bobbi and I have been doing our banking online for several years now and have not run into any problems. I think one of the most important things to remember is to make sure you are banking with a bank that has a physical location and building that they conduct business out of. There are many Online Banks that are just that, Online some where in the world, but you are not sure where. We bank with our credit union and they have locations all over in our area. Also it is important to talk with your bank about online banking so they can explain to you what security measures they have taken to protect you. Many of you have had questions about doing banking over a wireless network, say while you are on the road. I will have an article about that in the next couple weeks, so watch for it here in the newsletter.

Listening to your radio while on the road

I enjoy listening to the radio while on those long drives between destinations. It is kind of a hit and miss thing though when trying to find a station that is located in the area you might be at the time. Here is a web site that lists them by state. Radio Listings

Windows Vista Service Pack 1

I have a few of you asking about service pack one and where to get it. The easiest way to get Service Pack 1 is to set your Windows updates to automatic, when it is ready for your machine it will download automatically. If you have been getting updates all a long, then you are already set. If you have not, then you can set your Windows to update automatically by going to your Control Panel, under Security click on Check for Updates, in the left column click Change Settings and make sure Install updates automatically is checked.
