Safe Email

This is the time of year that many of you are preparing to go on vacation. Many of you are Rver's and will be taking computers with you in order to check your email to keep in touch with family and friends. An important consideration is do you know if your email supplier is safe. What I mean by safe, does your provider offer you a secure login page when you check your email. One way to tell, is to check the address in the address bar to see if the address starts with https, (Example) https://myemail.com or https://www.myemail.com. The https tells you that the page is secure. If your login page does not have the https, it might be a good idea to sign up for one of the free email services that has it. Gmail offers a secure check in page and so does Yahoo. If you have a friend that has gmail, have them send you a invitation so you can sign up for a free account. You can sign up for Yahoo mail at their home page www.yahoo.com. Their are others that have secure email has well, just do a Google search to find others.

  • In the Display Properties dialog box, click the Desktop tab, and then click Customize Desktop.
  • In the Desktop icons area in the Desktop Items dialog box, select the desktop icons that you want to appear on your desktop.

  • Click OK again.

    JLC's Internet TV

I have been using this Internet TV service for a few days now and an really enjoying it. You have to do a download in order to use it, but I think it is worth it. Lots of channels to choose from many of them in English. However if you speak another language as well as English, I am sure you will find it also. http://jlc-software.com/?page=internet_tv.html
