In the upper right of your screen type in "Customize the Taskbar. A window will appear, under Taskbar and Start Menu, click on Customize the Taskbar. If you have a broadband connection you should see much faster speeds. You can go to this web page to see more and find three places to check your speed. www.rverscomputerhelp.com/downloadspeed.html
Allowing Automatic UpdatesWe receive emails wanting to know if you should allow automatic updates in Windows XP or Vista. Some say that after allowing the updates to install, they sometimes experience problems that they did not have before. Therefore they have turned off the updates. You should always allow updates, most of them are to fix security holes that might put your computer at risk. However you can take control over what updates install on your computer by changing settings. Go to your Control Panel in XP click on Automatic Updates. You can put a check mark in "Notify me but don't automatically download them." In Vista go to your Control Panel, click Check for updates, then click change settings in the left column and choose the way you would like the downloads handled.
