QUESTION: How do I change my mouse from double click to single click ?

Good question, this is one of those things that drives me crazy when I am working on someone else's computer. I have my computers set up for single click and trying to remember to double click can frustrate you. Here is how to change to a single click, Open any folder on your computer and click on Tools at the top of the page. Select Folder Options from the drop down menu. Under "Click items as Follows", put a check mark next to "Single click to open an item (Point to select), click Apply and OK. Another way to get to Folder Options is to go to the Control Panel.

QUESTION: I am currently running Trend Micro PC cillin on my laptop. I run Avast on my desktop and I have been pleasantly surprised by it’s success. Trend Micro is telling me that my subscription is now ended and they want more money. I want to put Avast on my laptop. Do I have to uninstall my Trend micro first?
It is not a good idea to have two antivirus programs at the same time, they tend to conflict with one another. So yes, I think you should uninstall Trend Micro.

Adjusting the screen brightness on your laptop
Depending on your laptop, you can hold down the FN key and use the up, down arrows to adjust. Some computers might use the FN key plus the + or - keys. If you have a laptop and know how to adjust the screen brightness, let us know what brand laptop you have and what method you use. Shopping for a laptop??
I think one of the most important things to look for in a laptop, is how long will the battery last. You can have all the bells and whistles, but if they drain your battery quickly, it can be frustrating. So look for laptops that have duel core processors with Centrino technology. Most any sales person can help with this and explain the advantages. We have both a Sony laptop without the Centrino and a Toshiba laptop with the Centrino. The battery in the laptop with the Centrino lasts twice as long as the one without.
