Using Outlook Express to break apart large email's

We mentioned in last weeks newsletter about sending large files using online services. Here is a way to email smaller files, yet larger than what would normally be sent. Outlook Express 6 has the capabilty of breaking large files into smaller files and sending them over several email's, here is how. Click Tools, Accounts and choose your e-mail account. Select Mail, Properties, Advanced, check Break apart messages larger than, and enter 1000 into the KB field. Outlook Express will then break apart any attachment over 1MB. (NOTE)The person you are sending these email's to must also have Outlook Express 6. When the email arrives at the other end, Outlook Express will put it back together into one email. Example, if you send an email that is 5Mb in size, Outlook Express will break it into 5 separate email's before sending it. At the other end, Outlook Express will put it back together with one email going into the in box and 5 going directly to the delete box. Try it, if you don't like it, just go back and uncheck "Break apart messages larger than".

Windows Live Search

Here is a cool new search from Microsoft. I think I will probably be using this as much if not more than Google. I was really impressed with the video library, be sure and try it also. Expand your searches to get better results, take a look at the DEMO. Windows Live Search Demo

Using Stationery in Outlook Express

I created a tutorial on how to use stationery in Outlook Express. With Halloween near and Thanksgiving and Christmas just around the corner, you can send some really cool email's to friends and relatives. There are several places on the Internet to get free stationery, one of them is listed in the right column of this newsletter. Outlook Express comes with a few designs, but the really good ones are found on the Internet. Keep in mind that the person you send these email's to, must also have Outlook Express or Incredimail. www.rvinginfo.com/tips.html

Newsletters might be late

We have a bunch of appointments and things that we have to get done this month, so next weeks newsletter will come out on Thursday the 12th. After that I am not sure if I will be able to get the newsletter out until the 27th or 28th, so there might be a couple weeks with no newsletter. I will try to make it up to you by maybe making a couple super dupper newsletters to replace the ones I miss.
