GPS Systems

We are getting a lot of questions lately about GPS systems. Most want to know what is the best one for RV travel. Unfortunately I don't know much about them, I learned a little at the the Bass Pro Shop store in Denver while on vacation, but not enough to help with the questions I have been getting. If any of you can shed some light about GPS, please email us with the info, so we can pass it along. Our email address is toward the bottom of the newsletter.

New laptop

Bobbi recently got a new laptop and I thought I would share some thoughts about it here. It is a Toshiba Satellite with the new Intel Core 2 Duo processor and it is great. I am not pushing Toshiba here, but the Intel processor. I have a Sony laptop and I like it, but the battery time is far less, because it does not have the new Intel processor. AMD also makes one, but I am not familiar with it, it may be as good. If you are shopping for a new laptop, I would strongly recommend you consider one with the new Intel or AMD processor and the Centrino technology. Look for this logo,

Set Internet Explorer as the default browser (Reminder)

One question that I get a lot, is why do links not work in Outlook Express when I click on them?? The biggest reason is you have set another browser as your default browser. If you are using Netscape, Firefox, Opera or any of the others and have set them as your default browser, links will no longer work in Outlook Express. To set Internet Explorer as your default browser, follow these instructions.
  • Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel or Start, Control Panel
  • Double-click the Internet or Internet Options icon, and then click Programs.
  • Make sure that the Internet Explorer should check to see if it is the default check box is selected, click Apply, and then click OK.
  • Open Internet Explorer, and then click Yes when you receive the following prompt: Internet Explorer is not currently your default browser. Do you wish to make it the default?
