Windows Vista Tip

Windows Vista allows you to add additional clocks from different time zones. Here is how,
  • Right click your clock.
  • Select Adjust Date/Time.
  • Select the Additional Clocks tab.
  • Configure your new clocks time setting.
  • You can create two additional clocks.

    Hearing Test

Some of you may be having a problem with your hearing, but are reluctant to have a hearing test done. This web site will test your hearing free. I am sure this is not an exhaustive test, but it might give you some idea if you have a hearing problem or not. I tested okay, but Bobbi was not able to hear the final tone. I have been accusing her of having selective hearing for years, maybe she doesn't.  Hearing Test

    Another Windows Vista Tip

Some of the Vista versions do not come with the games pre-installed. If you would like to install them, here's how,
  • Go to Start
  • Select Control Panel
  • Select Programs and Features
  • Select "Turn Windows features on or off"
  • Place a checkmark in the checkbox titled: "Games"
  • Click OK

    Windows XP Tip

Here is a quick and easy way to put a shortcut on your desktop for putting your computer in standby mode. Follow these instructions
  • Right-click an empty area of your desktop
  • Select New>>Shortcut. This will bring up the Shortcut Wizard
  • In the text box, copy and paste the following code: %windir%\System32\rundll32.exe powrprof.dll,SetSuspendState
  • Click Next, then rename your shortcut: Standby
  • Click Finish.

Now when you want to put your computer in standby mode, just click the shortcut on you desktop.
