Monitor Problems

Question: I was given a desktop computer and the left side of the monitor will not show, it is just a black screen. What can I do??

ANSWER: Every monitor has a set of adjustment buttons on the front, side or rear. Find these buttons and one of them will allow you to adjust the screen so that the left side is filled in. All of us should become familiar with these buttons in the event a problem comes up. I have seen many monitors that are not adjusted correctly and the user has been using it like that for a long time. A simple adjustment will fix most of them.
