Last week I put a link to where Windows Vista Gadgets can be downloaded. I probably should have explained what Gadgets are. Gadgets are small applications that initially appear on the Windows Sidebar. Gadgets can include productivity tools like clocks and calculators, Internet-capable tools like news and stock feeds, and games like puzzles and word games. This is pretty cool because you can have access to all of these gadgets right from your desktop.

Image Resizer
Image resizer is available free at Windows XP PowerToys This PowerToy enables you to resize one or many image files with a right-click. There are many reasons why photos and images should be resized. Probably the most obvious is when sending them in email's. Sending smaller photos will make the send and receive time much faster. Also when printing, a smaller photo will print much faster. This tool is very easy to use, just right click on a photo or highlight many photos, choose Resize and follow the instructions. Computer term (DDR)
Stands for "Double Data Rate." It is an advanced version of SDRAM, a type of computer memory. DDR-SDRAM, sometimes called "SDRAM II," can transfer data twice as fast as regular SDRAM chips. This is because DDR memory can send and receive signals twice per clock cycle. The efficient operation of DDR-SDRAM makes the memory great for notebook computers since it uses up less power.
