Rvers Computer Help Newsletter 7-25-08
Newsletter FormatI would like to thank all of you that responded to my request on which newsletter format was better. The information I received back was more informative then you can imagine. I would also like to thank you for the very nice compliments about the newsletter, I didn't mean to solicit those comments, but boy were they nice. Now, I am sure you would like to know why the newsletter is in this format. Well I have to tell you looking at some of the responses made me realize that some of you may not have been receiving the newsletter every time it was sent out. Also because many of you replied to my question by using your reply button in your email (I received back the newsletter) and it revealed to me that some of you are not receiving it the way it is supposed to appear. Gmail displays it one way, AOL displays it another way, some of the other mail services left part of it out. I really thought it would be helpful to change to another format, but now I am not so sure. So for now I am going to go back to this format. Maybe down the road, I will give it another try. Thanks again for all your help. Larry and Bobbi
32 Bit or 64 BitLast week I told a way how to find if your Vista computer was 32 bit or 64 bit. Here is another way to do it for both Windows XP and Windows Vista. To find out if you are running the 32-bit or 64-bit edition of the Windows Vista or Windows XP operating system: For Windows Vista Windows XP Note: If your computer is running the 64-bit edition, “64-bit Edition” will appear at the end of your operating system; otherwise, your computer is running the 32-bit edition.

Google search tipsIf you are using the Internet you have most likely heard the name Google. Using Google search is fun and very informative. One little tip that can get you better search results is to put your search term in quotes, this will give you a more precise search result. Example, if you are searching for Grass Hoppers, you will get a search that reveals over 7,000,000, but if you put "Grass Hoppers" in quotes, it will reduce the search results to just over 31,000.
