Removing unwanted names and addresses from emailHave you ever tried to forward an email, but you don't want to forward all the names and addresses with it. Here is how to delete all those names. This is for Outlook Express, but it should work in some of the other mailboxes as well. Open the email in question and click Forward, then highlight everything that you do not want to forward and click the Backspace button on your keyboard. That should do it, now you can forward the email.
Upgrade from Notepad to Notepad 2Many of you are familiar with the Notepad that came with Windows XP and earlier versions of Windows. You can find Notepad under Accessories on the All Programs Menu. You probably know that although it is a very useful program, it is also limited in what it can do. I have tried many of the other type free notepad programs that are available on the Internet, but I really like the Notepad 2 program from Flo's Freeware. It has many more capabilities, is light weight and FREE. You can check it out and download it here, www.flos-freeware.ch
Revealing hidden files and folders (Windows XP)Windows hides certain files from being seen. This is done to protect these files, which are usually system files, from accidentally being modified or deleted by the user. However sometimes these hidden files can be infected by viruses. You can reveal these hidden files by following these directions. Click on the My Computer icon and select Tools from the top of the page. Now click Folder Options and select the View tab. Scroll down to Show Hidden Files and Folders and put a check mark next to it. Click OK at the bottom and you are finished. You can check files and folders for viruses by right clicking on them and choosing Scan the "name" of the file or folder. Of course I am assuming that all of you have a antivirus program on your computer, if not read this article that I wrote on why you should have one, on the web site. www.rverscomputerhelp.com/antivirusarticle.html
