Removing Secure-Nonsecure Warning

This warning can be annoying, but it was put there for a reason and can be a security risk if removed. However I receive it on web sites that I visit on a daily basis and I know they are safe, so I removed it. If you would also like to remove it, here is how.

1) Open Internet Explorer
2) Click on Tools
3) Click on Internet Options
4) Click on the Security Tab
5) Click on the Custom Level button
6) Under the Miscellaneous section look for "Display Mixed Content"
7) Click on Disable for Display Mixed Content instead of Prompt
8) Click on OK twice
9) Close Internet Explorer and reopen
10) Open the webpage that was displaying the warning message, the message should not appear now.

Recovering the Volume Icon

QUESTION: Hi Larry, I have lost my volume icon in the lower right, how can I get it back?
ANSWER: If you are using Windows Vista, right click on the Taskbar at the bottom of your screen and select Properties. Click the Notification Area tab and make sure there is a check mark next to Volume.

If you are using Windows XP, Click Start then Control Panel. Click on Sounds and Audio Devices, under the Volume tab put a check mark next to Place volume icon in the Taskbar. If there is already a check mark there, remove it, click OK, then go back in and put the check mark back.

Enhancing a Digital Camera Picture

I have mentioned this free program before, this time I made a tutorial to help you figure out how best to use it. After you watch the tutorial and if you decide you would like the program, you can download it here, www.rverscomputerhelp.com/computerstuff.html You will find it listed as "Digital Photo Enhancer". You can watch the tutorial here,  www.rverscomputerhelp.com/dcenhancertutorial.html

Forwarding an Email

I have covered this before, but I still receive emails wanting to know how to forward an email without all the email addresses that sometimes come with it. I am sure this has happened to all of us at one time or another. I made a tutorial on how to do this, if you are like me, I understand things better when I actually see it done instead of written instructions. Just click on this link to watch the video. Remember that on most high-speed Internet connections the video will take a couple minutes to load. If you are using dialup, you can still watch the video, but you will have to wait a long time for it to load.www.rverscomputerhelp.com/forwardemailtutorial.html

POPCORN??

Bobbi and I love popcorn, I bet you do to. I ran across a web site that has some pretty interesting information about popcorn. A little history, a recipe or two and there are a couple links from their site to other interesting sites that have more to say about popcorn. In fact sometimes popcorn is what we have for dinner. Remember back in the good old days when people gave popcorn balls as a Halloween treat. We had two places in our neighborhood that gave popcorn balls, but you had to get there early. Check these sites out, I think you will enjoy them.www.rossonhousemuseum.org/body_popcorn_history.html

What are Drives??

This is a very good question, I have attempted to answer it at the web site. Take a look www.rverscomputerhelp.com/drives.html

It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.
