Cat Bowling

Every year as we approach Halloween time, I put a link to the Cat Bowling game. Seems most of our subscribers enjoy playing and I post the best scores as they are reported to me. To give you something to shoot for, I post my best score. So far this year I have managed a 206. Lets see some of your scores. Use Task Manager to Stop Unresponsive Programs

You are working a long and all of a sudden your computer freezes, more than likely the program you were using stopped responding. If your mouse won't move and the ESC key on your keyboard is not responding, there is not much you can do except hit the switch and shutdown your computer. Before you do that, give this a try. Press CTRL, ALT, DELETE keys all at the same time. The Task Manager should come up, look for a program that is Not Responding, right click on it and choose End Task. You might have to do this a couple times to get the program to shutdown. If you are successful, you will not have to restart or shutdown your computer.

Do you have trouble downloading Microsoft updates??

It is very important to get the updates that are available from Microsoft. Critical updates are the most important, but maybe you have a slow Internet connection and it seems it takes forever to complete the downloads. If this is the case, don't download all of them at once. You can choose the ones you want for now and go back later for the others. To do this, after you scan for updates, click on the "Critical Updates" link. From here, you will see a list of all the recommended updates. If you don't have time to get them all at once, uncheck all of the boxes except for a couple, go through the download/install process, and come back later. Be sure and come back and get the critical updates, very important for your computer security.
