*****Made in America

This is a little off the subjects that I usually cover in the Newsletter and the websites. I feel very strongly about this and I hope you will also. I am going to recommend that you watch this video, I don't know if all the statistics are completely accurate, but if they are even close it would mean a lot. Maybe someone can explain to me why our learders are not telling us about this and pushing for all builders to give it a try. Watch this video, Made in America

The purpose of this website

Upgrading from Windows XP to Windows 7

Here are the instructions for doing the upgrade. I have only done this once on a friends computer. Everything went pretty smooth. However I would advise you to do a Google search for this type of upgrade to see some of the problems that others have had. That way if you encounter a problem you might know how to deal with it.  Upgrade

*What version of Windows and Service Pack do you have?

Support for Windows XP Service Pack 2 ended on July 13, 2010. In order to get support for Windows XP through April 2014, you must have Service Pack 3 installed. To find out what version you have, go to Start, Run, type in "winver" and click OK. If you don't have Service Pack 3 and would like to install it, go here for instructions, Service Pack 3

*Is your computer a toy??

That might seem like a strange question, but is it really. If it is a toy, it is probably the most powerful toy ever invented. My point here is your computer must be treated with a lot of respect and steps should be taken to be made secure. This toy as some seem to think it is, is capable of bringing down large companies, even government computers. You see it is possible for some bad guys to get into your computer and use it to do bad things. So take all the security steps neccessary to keep your computer safe and secure. You can do this by having an antivirus program in place. It is also a good idea to make sure you are using a good firewall. Don't open attachments that you receive in your emails and be careful when you are downloading anything from the Internet. Here is an interesting article about a recent virus that was discovered. No one knows how it got there, but it is certainly possible that someones computer was used to plant it. Take a look, Be secure

Lately there have been lots of emails attempting to get us to give our bank information, such as your credit card number and bank account numbers. These all seem to have very poor grammar.
