Make Windows Vista and Windows XP run better

4inkjets! For All Your Printer Needs

There are so many ways to make your computer run better, but here we are going to talk about two ways that are simple but important to the well being of your computer.

First we all know how easy it is to download programs, I enjoy trying new programs and I am sure you do to. Many of these programs seem very useful at first, but then you soon grow tired of them and move onto something else. The problem is that we don't bother to uninstall the programs that we no longer use. They continue to take up space and many of them are on the startup menu and can really slow the computer down.

One good thing to do on a regular basis is to check the installed programs and see which ones you can uninstall. You can do this by going to your Control Panel, clicking on Add/Remove Programs(XP). In Windows Vista you can go to the Control Panel and click Uninstall a Program. However there is a quicker way to do this. A couple of newsletters ago, I showed you where you can download a program called CCleaner. This program is for cleaning out unwanted files and checking the registery for problems. In the left column there is a place to click on Tools, this will list all the programs that are on your computer. It is much faster then going to the Control Panel and it uninstalls programs faster as well. You can download this free program here, www.ccleaner.com After you get the program search the programs that are listed under tools and see how many you no longer use and uninstall them.

Another way to make things run better is to keep your programs updated. Most of the time you can check for updates by going to the Help section of the program, usually at the top of the page. Do these two things often and I think you will see an improvement in the way your computer runs.

  Add Memory

One good way to make your computer run faster is to add memory or Ram. You can check at this web site to see what type memory your computer uses and how much it is. They even tell you how to add the memory. They will also give you a price if you think might want to add more memory. Just click on the ad below.
