Connecting to the Internet

4inkjets! For All Your Printer Needs

When you are at home, there are several ways that you can connect to the Internet. There is Dialup (Very Slow), but sometimes it is the only way to connect, depending on where you live. Also many are concerned about the price of the Internet connection and this is about the cheapest way. There are some DSL connections that are about the same price as Dialup, but not always available in all areas. The most common for home use is DSL provided by your phone service, it is normally very fast. Cable is another fast connection, but again not always available. Many people that travel have opted to go with a cellular phone as a way to connect to the Internet, again usually a slow connection. However if you use your cellular phone a long with a Wireless Aircard, you can get pretty good speed and can also connect to the Internet most anywhere there is a cellular signal available. Another advantage to connecting this way, is you can even connect while driving down the highway. Satellite is another way, but in most cases if you are traveling, you need to puchase the equipment and there is also a monthly fee for the service. The monthly fee is usually somewhere around $60 to $90 depending on what service you select. You can buy a satellite system for your home and use it while traveling as well. You can check here for more information about Satellite Internet, www.maxwellsatellite.com

Then there is WiFi, this is a network connection that is either used at home for your own use or while traveling and you are then connecting to someone's network connection. Some of these WiFi connections are offered free at Coffee Shops, Restaurants, RV Parks, etc. In these cases, all you need is a computer that is equipped with a WiFi card. There are also RV Parks that charge a fee by the hour day or month. If any of you are interested in learning more about any of these ways of connecting to the Internet can contact us by email at,  questions@rvinginfo.com
