Arranging Desktop Icons (Windows XP)

Right click on a clean spot on your desktop and select "Arrange Icons by" from the list. You will see several things that you can do to control the icons. Select Auto Arrange and the icons will stay aligned to the left side of your desktop. Try some of the other options to see what will happen to your icons, you can even hide your icons from appearing on your desktop until you want them.
