Operating System Survey

It looks like many of you have heeded the warnings about Windows Vista and have chosen to stay with Windows XP. I think you have made the right descision. I don't mean to discourage those that have changed to Windows Vista because it has some good features, but Windows XP is more to my taste. Bobbi and I both recently bought new desktop's with Windows Vista on them. Bobbi is ready to throw her's out, but I have had a bit more luck with mine. We do use them for different tasks and with different software. We thought that sense we have the Newsletter and this web site, that we should keep up with the latest technology. In hind sight we should have bought Bobbi a desktop computer with Windows XP. Fortunately both of our laptops have Windows XP. If you use your computer just for games and email, you might not notice much of a difference between the two operating systems. Below are the results of the operating system survey.

87% of those that responded to the survey have Windows XP as their operating system.

11% of those that responded to the survey have Windows Vista as their operating system.

2% stated they had older versions of Windows or Mac operating systems.

I have done a lot of research on Windows Vista vs Windows XP and it seems that those in the position to know about this stuff favor Windows XP. To get an idea of what I am talking about, just do a search on google. Right now you can still find new computers with Windows XP on them, but I am sure that will change in time.
