Uninstalling Windows XP Update Packages
Although it is not a good idea to uninstall Windows updates because many of them address security issues, every once in a while you might exprience dificulties right after an update is installed. In this case you might want to uninstall the most recent update to see if it is causing the problem. If you find out it is, you should contact Microsoft support for help. Here is how to perform the uninstall.
To uninstall update packages
- Click Start, click Control Panel, and click Add or Remove Programs.
- Click Change or Remove Programs.
- Click the Update you wish to remove, and then click Change/Remove.
